volunteer should be a compassionate, dependable person
who is willing to donate their time to helping other
people. A CONTACT phone volunteer is trained not to
give answers, but to actively listen. |

| Q: What kind of time
commitments does being a CONTACT volunteer involve? |
 |
| A: Upon completing
a training course, all CONTACT volunteers are asked
to fill two four-hour shifts per month. Volunteers may
select times that best fit their personal schedule,
with options available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. |

| Q: Are there any age
requirements for being a CONTACT phone volunteer? |
 |

All CONTACT phone volunteers must be at least 21-years-old. |

| Q: Are there any other
requirements for becoming a volunteer? |

All volunteers must first complete a required training
course and a criminal background check before they can
staff the phones. |

begin? |
 |
| A:
CONTACT conducts volunteer training sessions throughout
the year. If your group or organization would like to
take our training course, specialized classes can be

course? |

Yes. There is a $60 fee to take the CONTACT training
course. Senior Citizens qualify for a discounted fee
of $45. In some cases, scholarships or discounted fees
are available. |
